Good morning fellow scrappers! Ramona here with a few thoughts about your digital scrapping! Of course we all scrapbook because we want to preserve the memories and moments that make up our lives. I grew up in the 70′s and I well remember the polaroid photos and the old 35 mm cameras. I remember that my mom was always careful in what she took a picture of because she didn’t want to waste film. I also remember the heartache of losing a whole roll by opening it too soon! Pictures were different in those days. And I think that photos were focused on the bigger events in life. Things like the big holidays and birthdays and first day of school, etc. By capturing photos on those big moments and putting them together in an album, one could sum up a year or a childhood or a lifetime.
Now we live in the digital era where I recently did a family photoshoot with over 400 photos. Sometimes I am overwhelmed by the number of photos I end up with and don’t even know where to begin. With cameras on our phones and phones that we seem to carry with us everywhere, it is possible to capture every moment imaginable. I think that we still photograph the big events but even the scrapping trends are leaning more towards capturing the everyday moments. Is it a blessing or a curse? Do you ever feel burdened by too many photos? Do you have a strategy for keeping everything straight? How do you organize and scrap your albums? I would love some ideas for this! I would also love to hear what types of scrapbook supplies best support the way you scrapbook. Are there things you wish there were more variety of? Are there certain kits that you are always on the look out for? Do you prefer things to be themed or neutral or some of both?
I don’t have any photos to share or even any tips as much as I want to start a dialogue about what is important to you as a scrapper. As I look back through the years and the scrapping I’m still trying to get caught up on, I’m always searching for new ideas, new strategies and new ways to look at things! Please share!!
And enjoy today’s little goody!
